Kickoff to Kindergarten is a fun, free program for children ages 3 - 4 and their caregivers. The program enables children to develop their early literacy skills and begin a lifelong love of reading! Parents and caregivers are guided to become confident in their ability to support their child’s development following a curriculum aligned with the Science of Reading. Classes, which meet once a week (8 sessions in total), will focus on learning about dialogic reading techniques that can be used when caregivers read together with their children. We’ll also have fun with a storytime that includes tips for promoting literacy at home, and so much more! Bring your little artist to the library as we explore open-ended ways to promote early learning through art and books, and share fun ideas for creating with little ones at home. Young artists will explore colors, shapes, and more while working on motor skills, creativity, and imagination. less
