Join us for a fun filled hour of Little Movers Music with all your favorite children's songs. We will incorporate guitar and ukelele and have you moving and grooving. Shakers, tambourines and other music makers will be provided. Be prepared to move and dance. The finale will be a bubble party featuring our new color filled storm bubble machine with balloons. Please register in advance at the front desk. Space is limited. Ages 3-5. less

This event will take place in person at Throg's Neck Library. Join us for a library playdate and meet other caregivers as we explore developmentally appropriate play materials in a safe, warm, and joyful environment. Extend your child's learning through play! While playing and fostering a sense of community and connection, families can explore and peruse some books chosen by library staff. Please note: This program is for both caregiver and child. This event will take place in person at the Todt Hill-Westerleigh Library. Join us for songs, rhymes, and favorite read-aloud books in this storytime that’s fun for the whole family. For young children of all ages. Ideal for caregivers with multiple-aged children. This is an in-person event. less

This event will take place in person at the Inwood Library. Join us to hear stories, sing songs, and get those wiggles out as you help your active child build important early learning skills! Discover ways to promote early literacy at home and meet other caregivers in the neighborhood. **Please note that Summer Storytimes will be ticketed events on a first come first serve basis. Families will be able to attend one Wednesday storytime.** less

Join us for songs, rhymes, and favorite read-aloud books in this storytime that’s fun for young children 5 and under. Ideal for caregivers with multiple-aged children. ***HOW TO REGISTER*** 8 spots will be open for online registration each week, and another 8 spots will be held for walk-ins on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please register under the child's name. Tickets for walk-ins will be given out at 11 AM on the day of the program. Tickets for a waitlist will also be given out. If there are still spots available after 11:20 AM, families will be moved from the waitlist into the story time. The child must be present with their caregiver at the time of check-in. Online registrants must check-in at the entrance to the library by 11:20 AM. If you do not check-in by 11:20AM, your spot will be given to a family on the waitlist. Online Registration will open one week in advance at 2 PM and will remain open until the 8 spots are filled. Please call the library at 212-714-8400 if you are having difficulties registering. less

Join Mr. Corvino for open play with toys, music, and fellow little movers! This program is geared toward parents, caregivers, and their young children, ages birth to 5. Both the parent/caregiver and the child must be present during the program. less

This event will take place in person at the Columbus Library. An informal playgroup for young children (ages 0-4) and their parents and/or caregivers to meet other families and encourage children to develop together through play. Onsite program with songs, rhymes, an ideal program for caregivers with children between the ages of 0 to 3 years. Open Play for Babies and Toddlers is a program for parents/caregivers and their children. Both the parent/caregiver and the child must be present during the entire program: unaccompanied adults or children will be asked to leave the program. When registering for this program, parents/caregivers should use their name and information--you don’t need a library card to participate! less
