Hunts Point Alliance for Children

Website
The Hunts Point Alliance for Children was founded in 2007 to bring attention to the low educational attainment of students in the community of Hunts Point and to create urgency and provide resources to improve educational achievement neighborhood-wide. HPAC believes that instilling an early love of learning, exposure to literacy, and creating a bond between parent and child are key to impacting the achievement gap. HPAC’s Early Childhood Education team engages with families and the community through our Early Childhood Library and through programs designed to build social-emotional skills, improve familial relationships, and provide interventions to build early literacy skills.
