Family Antiracist Storytime – Brooklyn Bookfest

Brooklyn Public Library — Brooklyn Children's Museum Rooftop

Brooklyn Public Library presents a free program on the Brooklyn Children's Museum rooftop in conjunction with the Brooklyn Book Festival. Join us for a live storytime, draw a skin-color self-portrait, check-out a book or enter to win a copy of What We Believe: A Black Lives Matter Principles Activity Book By Laleña Garcia and illustrated by Caryn Davidson, courtesy of BPL. Participants will learn about age-appropriate antiracist practices, including celebrating and affirming different races and identities, talking about injustice in our society, and modeling ways young children can engage in activism!
